Russian news agency's Mikhail Gusman in Seychelles to report on Creole Islands ( The First Deputy Director-General of ITAR-TASS, Mr. Mikhail Gusman was in Seychelles last week with a team of camera men and journalists to prepare a report on the Creole Islands for main Russian TV. Mr. Gusman is well respected and regarded as the most authoritative and known Russian TV personality who is the host of the special program “Formula of Power" on Russian National Television.

Mr. Gusman was in Seychelles to interview President James Michel for that special “Formula of Power" program. It is on this same program that he had previously featured Barack Obama, George W. Bush, Tony Blair, Jacques Chirac, and Angela Merkel. He decided that for his Seychelles report he would include a report on the country's tourism industry, which remains the pillar of the Seychelles economy and which is also a portfolio of the President.

Mr. Gussman also met with Alain St.Ange, the Seychelles Tourism Board's CEO, and spent time to interview Mr St.Ange on the attributes of Seychelles as a destination for Russian tourists.

The Seychelles Tourism Board's Chairman, Mr. Barry Faure, who is also the Secretary of State in the President's Office, and Mr Alain St.Ange, the Tourism Board's CEO, hosted a lunch for Mr. Mikhail Gusman and his delegation who were being assisted on their Seychelles visit by Ms. Maria Morel, the Tourism Board's Marketing Executive, responsible for the Russian Market.
