CNN Traveller magazine highlights the Seychelles

CNN Traveller magazine highlights the Seychelles (Forimmediaterelease.net) The CNN Traveller magazine which prides itself as being the magazine for “People Going Places," has come out with its latest issue entitled “Into the Blue," highlighting “Paradise Found in Seychelles" with a picture of the Indian Ocean Creole Islands of the Seychelles on its front cover. Dedicating seven pages of the latest issue of the CNN Traveller magazine to the Seychelles, Nick Walton recounts a visit to the unique mid-ocean islands.

The article reflects the conservation efforts of the Seychelles that has helped guarantee that the islands' beaches remain pristine where native species flourish. Nick Walton writes that tourism is one of the thriving industries in the Seychelles and that it is that industry that injects hard currency in the islands' economy. With big colored pictures of the Seychelles printed to highlight the beauty of the islands, this seven-page spread comes at the most appropriate time for Seychelles as the World Travel Market (WTM) tourism trade fair in London is set to start in less than a week's time.

The CNN Traveller sits in first and business class of many long-haul airlines, and the CEO of the Seychelles Tourism Board, Alain St.Ange, who is also an ambassador for eTurboNews, said when contacted that the efforts of the islands' tourism board is now starting to bear results. “Fortunately I did not sit in an office and hope for the best, but instead, I went out to make Seychelles get known and make contacts to get Seychelles known," Alain St.Ange said. The CEO of Seychelles Tourism has managed in a short period of time to reposition Seychelles. Today, the islands are more visible than they have ever been. “Too often in the past, tourism players sat and waited, believing that their business would sell itself. It never did," Alain St.Ange said. His principle has worked for Seychelles with articles about the islands now appering everywhere. “Tourism arrival figures are set to be a record for the islands this year," Alain St.Ange proudly said.

Seychelles depends on its tourism industry and recently the islands' President Mr. James Michel personally took over the portfolio of tourism, making it clear the importance that this volatile industry has for the islands' economy. President Michel has launched the “Seychelles brand" as his vision for the island's tourism industry. This vision, Alain St.Ange, CEO of the islands' tourism, said is centered around people. “It was the best announcement made, because it will get the Seychellois involved in their islands' tourism industry, and when the people are involved, the people will defend and protect their industry," St.Ange said.
