Leading tourism and hospitality scholars contribute expertise at Tourism Progress and Peace Conference (Forimmediaterelease.net) SAN FRANCISCO, CA – Organizers of the Tourism Progress and Peace Conference announced today that an internationally-acclaimed panel of university professors will be the featured keynote speakers at the conference set for March 24-26, 2011 at the Dead Sea Spa Hotel. The announcement was made by event organizers: TravelTalkMEDIA and the International Centre for Peace through Tourism Research.

During the three-day conference, noted tourism and hospitality scholars will deliver presentations and keynote speeches to attendees. Presenters include Michael Hall, Department of Management, University of Canterbury, Christchurch, New Zealand, editor of the journal “Current Issues in Tourism;” Abraham Pizam, Rosen College of Hospitality Management, University of Central Florida, Orlando, Florida, editor of “Journal of Hospitality Management;” Vincent Platenkamp, director, of the “Center for Cross Cultural Understanding,” NHTV University of Professional Education, Breda, The Netherlands; Dallen J. Timothy, School of Community Resources and Development, Arizona State University, Phoenix, Arizona, editor of “Journal of Heritage Tourism;” John Tribe, PhD director of tourism at the University of Surrey, UK, Editor of “Annals of Tourism Research;” Muzaffer Uysal, Dept. of Hospitality and Tourism Management, Virginia Polytechnic Institute, Blacksburg VA USA, editor of “Tourism Analysis.”

Registration and reviews of abstracts and presentation proposals have begun.
