During your trip to Paris think of coming to Luxembourg with the new TGV EST Européen

( Paris to Luxembourg in only 2h05.
In a just few months, the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg will benefit from the increased comfort and convenience of the TGV high-speed train.

From June 2006 on, TGV trains were already replacing the Corail trains between Luxembourg and Paris, but only on slow speed in a first period. On the 10th June 2007 the Passengers will see their journey times cut by 1 hour and thirty minutes and the journey will now take just two hours and five minutes. The trains will make five direct return journeys between Paris and Luxembourg each day.

In addition to the faster journey time, all types of electronic equipment can be used on the ‘TGV EST Européen’ trains during the journey and there will be more leg room for all the seats, a bar serving refreshments and an adjustable light, all of which add an increased level of comfort.

The Luxembourg station will also be significantly modernised to welcome passengers in the best possible setting. As part of this process, a new underground floor will link the platforms with the station forecourt. The Welcome and Sales Centre will be modernised and expanded to cover the entire surface area of the lateral hall of the station. The platforms will be renovated and their canopy replaced with a new model, partly made of glass. Finally a glass wall will be added to the station lobby looking out over the forecourt while remaining in keeping with the architecture of the building.
