Hôtel Le Bristol Scoops Four Prestigious Industry Accolades in 2008 ( Paris, December 2008

2008 will be regarded as one of Hôtel Le Bristol’s most successful after being granted four prestigious awards; ‘World’s Best Hotel’, ‘Europe’s Best Hotel’, ‘World’s Best Luxury Romantic Hotel’ and ‘Europe’s Best Hotel Restaurant’.

The latest annual survey of ‘100 World’s Best Hotels’ by esteemed American publication Institutional Investor Magazine awarded Hôtel Le Bristol first place ranking it the ‘World’s Best Hotel’. The prize was voted by a hundred senior executives from 29 different countries who had spent an average of 59 nights in hotels around the globe. GM of Hôtel Le Bristol, Pierre Ferchaud, commented that ‘the award recognised the team’s efforts to satisfy clients and deliver the best’.

Prior to this prestigious accolade, the hotel was awarded ‘Europe’s Best Hotel’, ‘World’s Best Luxury Romantic Hotel’ and ‘Europe’s Best Hotel Restaurant’; all in the month of October.

At the World Travel Awards, the hotel was named ‘Europe’s Best Hotel’ for the second consecutive year. The World Travel Awards have been in existence since 1993 and are selected by travel professionals worldwide. This year, 167,000 travel agencies, airlines and tourist organisations across 160 countries voted for the hotels they considered to be the best in Europe.

Hôtel Le Bristol scooped a second award in October as the ‘World’s Best Luxury Romantic Hotel 2008’ at the World Luxury Hotel Awards, as voted by the hotel clients, travel agents and tour operators from around the world.

Finally, during the Prix Villegiature ceremony held at the hotel, Hôtel Le Bristol’s gastronomy was recognised as executive chef, Eric Frechon, accepted the prize for ‘Europe’s Best Hotel Restaurant’. The jury comprised of twenty French and international press and managers from luxury hotels in Europe.


Hôtel Le Bristol is one of Paris’ most legendary ‘Palace’ hotels. Changing seasonally, the Winter Restaurant offers guests the warmth of oak woodwork and the Summer Restaurant opens onto magnolia and Wisteria off the courtyard garden. Le Bristol’s ‘3 stars espoir’ Chef Eric Frechon revisits the basics of French Cuisine with style. The hotel is also home to an Anne Semonin Beauty Salon and a rooftop pool with spectacular views over Paris. Hôtel le Bristol is set to unveil in 2009, an additional 21 rooms and five suites as well as a grill restaurant.
