Hollywood North Olympic Hospitality ( The Most Exclusive Venue During the 2010 Winter Games

Vancouver, BC – October 27, 2008 – No venue can combine as many diverse Hollywood film locations and movie stars than can Vancouver Movie Tours at its downtown Vancouver hotel, Pendrell Suites. It will become a hospitality building during the 2010 Winter Olympics.

The hotel, located in Vancouver’s West end, has been the location for 60 film and TV productions, including feature films, TV series and pilots, even TV commercials and Chinese TV.

“We’re probably most famous as Agent Scully’s Washington, D.C. apartment on the TV series X-Files, when she was abducted. That same suite was used as Anne Heche’s 4th floor Manhattan apartment in the NBC TV series Men in Trees,” President Boyd McConnell stated.

Kung Fu fighting legend Jet Li fought two fights in the hotel’s meditation garden in the feature film Romeo Must Die,” McConnell went on to say. “It became a Los Angeles restaurant on the MTV series Noah’s Arc, too.”
McConnell is going to have set designers and decorators who have worked on shoots at the hotel before dress it up for the Olympic party house.

“We are going to get as many of the actors, directors and the like who have been a part of us over the years to come for the Olympics, so guests can mingle with them,” McConnell stated.

“After the Olympics, the whole world will know more about Vancouver and that we don’t just have clean air, beautiful mountains and sea, but we have Hollywood North, too,” He said.

“Our goal is to have Pendrell Suites become an iconic tourist attraction in downtown Vancouver, “ McConnell stated. Vancouver Movie Tours is also offering exclusive licenses to sell its movie tours, hospitality tickets and Pendrell Suites accommodation to travel agents and tour operators. Full details on Hospitality tickets will be available from Vancouver Movie Tours licensees in early December, 2008.
