CARAVAN SALON DUESSELDORF 2007

(Forimmediaterelease.net) Recreational Vehicles to Suit Every Need at CARAVAN SALON DUESSELDORF 2007.
This year's CARAVAN SALON DUESSELDORF, held from Friday, 24 August (trade visitor and media day), to Sunday, 02 September 2007, will prove it: Despite the spectacular change of models last year, manufacturers are set to present many innovations in 2007.

New Models and Innovative Details

The types introduced last year have gone into series production, and the manufacturers are now rounding off their offer range with new models and numerous innovative details. Individuality is reigning supreme. Recreational vehicles of all sizes and kinds, with many different floor plans and individually tailored interiors are for sale. Caravans, too, are following this trend. New concepts, fresh shapes and colours provide lots of choice. The new generation of attractive compact caravans can be towed by smaller vehicles and presents modern interior design options. Towing a caravan is becoming significantly safer and as easy as never before. This is due to the new electronic stability programs, ensuring that the caravan tracks true even in critical driving situations.

The component suppliers also showcase their capabilities. For many essential technical systems, trailblazing innovations may be expected. Energy efficiency, either directly due to lower consumption or achieved by fuel-saving weight reduction, was at the centre of the development work. For example, the use of fuel cells to generate power on the road is increasing. This provides for longer periods of independence from the public power supply.

A Whole World of Modern Leisure Activities

When it comes to recreational vehicles, CARAVAN SALON DUESSELDORF leaves nothing to be desired. The world's largest trade fair for mobile leisure time offers everything available on the market, from a small 2-person caravan to luxury camper vans. All in all, approximately 2000 vehicles are presented in 11 air-conditioned halls at CARAVAN SALON DUESSELDORF 2007. In addition to vehicles, mobile vacations are gaining in popularity. Therefore, CARAVAN SALON DUESSELDORF will feature a separate tourism hall and a focus on tourism-related topics for the second time. Since the focus last year was on holidays on the waterfront, 2007 will showcase the rural lifestyle and mobile holidays on a working farm.

Caravaning is the ideal family holiday, but just as popular with the kids are holidays on a working farm. Why not combine the two? Nowadays, many farms have sites for recreational vehicles and caravans and offer farm holidays to families wishing to sleep in their own vehicle. These camping spots will be introduced at CARAVAN SALON DUESSELDORF 2007, of course before an authentic backdrop. In the open area between the halls, visitors can breathe the fresh country air, since a small farm will move in here - a particular highlight for all little visitors.

But there will also be plenty to do and see for the adults. An increasing number of campgrounds are focusing on the topic of wellness, and many spa-towns now offer caravan sites. These offers are showcased in a special exhibition in hall 7, where wellness seekers may gather information on various destinations.

Kids are Special at CARAVAN SALON 2007!

Children between four and thirteen will appreciate a visit to this year's CARAVAN SALON DUESSELDORF for additional reasons: They have the chance to hit the big time as a model, since the Caravaning Industry Association (CIVD) is searching for a new face for its latest campaign. Every day at the casting stage, professional photographers will take headshots of about 100 children for a set card, which the up and coming models may use to enter the “Caravaning Young Face Award" competition. Before closing of CARAVAN SALON DUESSELDORF, a jury will decide on the new face of the CIVD campaign 2008.

Messe Düsseldorf honours Personalities of the Caravaning Industry

As the foremost trade fair, CARAVAN SALON DUESSELDORF provides the ideal forum in which to honour outstanding sector personalities. For this reason, Messe Düsseldorf will present the “A Life of Caravaning" Award. This award, to be presented at CARAVAN SALON DUESSELDORF 2007, is designed to honour personalities from the caravanning industry who have rendered outstanding service to mobile leisure time and are an important driving force within the business sector.

Hiking and Trekking Exhibition “TourNatur " runs parallel with CARAVAN SALON DUESSELDORF

On the second trade fair weekend, from 31 August to 02 September, the hiking and trekking exhibition TourNatur will open its gates next to CARAVAN SALON DUESSELDORF. About 250 exhibitors will offer everything from pocketknives to jackets, from trekking or climbing equipment to snow hikes as well as general equipment, tours or hiking destinations. More than 5,000 locations offer plenty of ideas for the next mobile holiday. The CARAVAN SALON DUESSELDORF admission ticket is also valid for TourNatur.

World's largest Trade Fair for Mobile Leisure Time with Individual Caravan Sites

CARAVAN SALON DUESSELDORF is the world's largest trade fair for mobile leisure time. Every year, it welcomes more than 160,000 visitors. They gather information on the range of products and services of the 550 international exhibitors, including innovations, caravans and camper vans, accessories, technology order, trends, tents, motorhomes, camping equipment, camping and RV sites as well as numerous destinations and tour operators.

Many caravaning fans arrive in their own vehicles. During CARAVAN SALON DÜSSELDORF, about 40,000 visitors spend the night in their own vehicles at the Messe Düsseldorf Caravan Center. The main parking lot north of the exhibition grounds offers more than 2,000 serviced and non-serviced sites.

The Caravaning Industry Association (CIVD) is the non-material supporter of CARAVAN SALON DUESSELDORF. CARAVAN SALON DUESSELDORF is always up-to-date when it comes to the industry and maintains close contacts with the Deutscher Tourismus Verband - German Tourism Association (DTV), the Allgemeiner Deutscher Automobil-Club - the Automobile Club of Germany (ADAC), the Deutscher Camping Club - the German Camping Club (DCC), the Bundesverband der Campingwirtschaft in Deutschland - the German Association of the Camping Industry (BVCD), the Deutscher Caravaning Handels-Verband - the German Caravaning Retail Association (DCHV) and the EURO MOTORHOME CLUB (EMHC).
