Your invitation to register as media for ITB Asia 2008

As part of ITB Asia, travel industry leaders will address the latest industry issues and trends during the ITB Asia Convention, which takes place on the mornings of October 23-24. Also in Suntec, partner events include Web in Travel (WIT) October 21-22, the Association of Corporate Travel Executives (ACTE) presenting two morning sessions October 23-24, and Meeting Professionals International’s (MPI) inaugural Asian Meetings and Events Conference taking place October 24-25.
Registration
Pre-registration online
Legitimate travel and business journalists are welcome to enjoy free access to ITB Asia, all official ITB Asia social functions, the Convention, WIT, ACTE and MPI events (the MPI event is suitable for specialist MICE related journalists). Please register before October 10 to enable us to prepare your Press badge and to avoid queuing onsite at Suntec. Your media registration form is available at www.itb-asia.com/Press under “accreditation.”
Press registration onsite at Suntec
Press registration is open onsite at Suntec from Tuesday October 21 until Friday, October 24. Members of the Press may register at the media registration counter on level 1 at the main entrance of Suntec. You will need to present a Press pass, a business card or an appropriate letter of authority from an editor or publisher. Your registration is not transferable and is valid only when presented together with the holder’s ID. Press passes are strictly for journalists and not for advertising or publishing representatives.
Media Center
The media center of ITB Asia is located on level 2 of Suntec in room 209 and is open to editorial representatives. Journalists can use the available computers and receive the latest ITB Asia Press releases, photos, catalogues and exhibitor news here. Opening hours are: Tuesday, October 21 to Friday, October 24 from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Press Conferences
A series of Press conferences will take place in the Press conference room (room 208) adjacent to the media center. Full details will be sent to media soon. Event organizer Messe Berlin (Singapore) and partner, Singapore Tourism Board, are among the organizations that will hold Press conferences.
Important dates for the Press
October 22, 2008
8:30 a.m. Access to Suntec Singapore, level 2
Inauguration Ceremony: 9:00 a.m. to 10O00 a.m., level 2, theatre, followed by Ribbon Cutting on level 6 (front of center show entrance, 10:00 a.m.) and a guided show tour from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., start in front of center show entrance, level 6.
Opening Press conference
11:15 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on level 2 in the Press conference room (room 208).
Pre- and Post-ITB Asia media tours
The Singapore Tourism Board and Tourism Malaysia/Hertz are creating a range of pre- and post-ITB Asia special privileges and media tours. Further information about the Malaysian trip can be found here.
