Hindu Council of Seychelles calls on Tourism and Culture Minister and discusses continued cooperation (Forimmediaterelease.net) Mr. N. Ramani, the newly-elected Chairperson of the Hindu Council of Seychelles, accompanied by Mr. Pillay, who is responsible for religious affairs, and Miss Ramani, who heads the cultural side of the Council, called on Minister Alain St.Ange, the Seychelles Minister responsible for Tourism and Culture, to discuss continued cooperation between the Council and the Ministry. “The Hindu Council of Seychelles has always enjoyed a good working relationship with your Ministry, and we are here to express our desire for this to continue," said Mr. Ramani, the new Chairperson of the Hindu Council of Seychelles. The Minister was invited to the coming August 14 event at the ICCS Conference Centre, as they discussed several points that would strengthen the existing cooperation.

Minister Alain St.Ange, who was accompanied at that meeting by PS Anne Lafortune, the PS for Tourism, and Sherin Naiken, the CEO of the Tourism Board, congratulated the new chairperson and his committee on their appointment and assured that the Ministry of Tourism and Culture would continue to be facilitators for cultural bodies such as their Hindu Council. “You are all part and parcel of what makes our islands great. Our diversity is today an example to the world, and together we can protect such cultural assets that make us strong," said Minister St.Ange.
