Reunion Island Tourism: Thinking outside the box

Reunion Island Tourism: Thinking outside the box (Forimmediaterelease.net) The Inter-communal Tourist Office (ITO) in the north of Reunion Island recently launched its new mobile tourist information office. It is the first of its kind on Reunion Island and will be visibly deployed at all major commercial, social, and tourism events to help promote the tourism northern territory.

Until now, local people and travelers staying on the island could experience the tourist products offered in northern territory of Reunion Island only at the ITO offices, but the launch of the vehicle has changed the game now. ITO north's innovation with the creation of a mobile tourist office now provides easy access for tourists getting information about the island.

The roaming information office staff have a keen interest to go out into the field to meet the tourists and the local population to promote the tourist offers of the north of Reunion Island.

Entertainment on weekends, night life in the Bel-Air Lighthouse and Carrère House on the occasion of the Night of Museums and European Heritage Days, are sure to have the mobile office on display and in attendance at all the major events on Reunion Island.

New tourism products will also be showcased by the mobile tourist office on four wheels.

The north OTI office last year received nearly 45,000 visitors through its different outlets, but with the inauguration of the mobile office, the number of visitors is expected to reach twice as many with an anticipated 90,000 reach.

Earlier this week, another regional tourism information office launched a scooter to reach out to the tourists and locals, clearly a sign of innovative thinking outside the usual box.
