POWER-CAN Middle East honored by Prime Minister's Patronage

(Forimmediaterelease.net) POWER-GEN Middle East, the region’s premier conference and exhibition for the power and water industries, announces that it has received the gracious Patronage of H.H. Shaikh Khalifa Bin Salman Al Khalifa, Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Bahrain along with full support of the Electricity and Water Authority of Bahrain for the 2009 event.Being hosted by the Kingdom of Bahrain from 17th to 19th February 2009, POWER-GEN Middle East has established itself as the leading event for power and water industry professionals and government officials, as a meeting place for the gathering of information and sharing of ideas in these important industries.
Bahrain has become one of the most advanced economies in the GCC and most progressive political systems. The country is the gateway to an energy hungry region that is also experiencing massive growth, seeing an average increase in demand for power at around 8 per cent. It is estimated $120 billion will be invested in Middle East power and water projects over the next 10 years, with an estimated 8 per cent of all Arab investments going into the power business.

With over 120 anticipated exhibitors and over 3000 expected visitors from over 50 countries, POWER-GEN Middle East will be the most important annual meeting place for international power and water executives for the MENA region.
