Trinidad and Tobago hosts Interior Decorating on a Budget Course for accommodation providers ( PORT OF SPAIN, Trinidad - The Tourism Development Company will host an Interior Decorating on a Budget course for tourist accommodation owners as part of its Small Tourism Enterprises Project (STEP), beginning on Friday, November 13, 2015.

Representatives from 12 bed and breakfast, self-catering and guesthouse accommodation properties will participate in the two-week program which comprises a workshop on standard decorating skills, followed by site visits to each property.

During the site visits, program consultant, Jtem’s Design and Consultants Co. Ltd, will provide individualized advice on immediate upgrades and improvement to each establishment using interior decorating tips that can be implemented at a low cost, as well offering guidance on areas that can be inexpensively addressed over the short to medium term.

Targeting small tourism operators, STEP presents a comprehensive approach to addressing performance and profitability within the small tourism enterprise sector by offering training and certification in a range of areas including first aid, occupational health and safety, effective front desk techniques, information technology and defensive driving.
