Tourism ministers from Mozambique and the Seychelles meet on the sidelines of the UNWTO General Assembly in Colombia

Tourism ministers from Mozambique and the Seychelles meet on the sidelines of the UNWTO General Assembly in Colombia (Forimmediaterelease.net) Silva Armando Dunduro, the Minister of Culture and Tourism of the Republic of Mozambique, and Minister Alain St.Ange, the Minister of Tourism and Culture of the republic of Seychelles, made time to meet formally in Colombia where they were both together for the 21st UNWTO General Assembly.

This was the first meeting between the two tourism ministers since Minister Silva Armando Dunduro took office recently following the Mozambique general elections that were followed by a cabinet reshuffle.

Mozambique and the Seychelles do cooperate already in the field of tourism, and both countries form part of the East3Route tourism program together with South Africa KwaZulu Natal and the Kingdom of Swaziland. “We are friendly on the Indian Ocean and both continue to work for the benefit of our people through the East3Route tourism program. This grassroots program is empowering the people of the four countries to see tourism as their industry, as they are encouraged to get involved in their respective country’s tourism," said Minister St.Ange.

Recently, Seychelles hosted the East3Route Investment Forum, and Mozambique was represented by its Finance Minister. Ministers Silva Armando Dunduro and Alain St.Ange are set to meet again at the next east3Route program that will see their tourism ministers meet in Mozambique, Swaziland, and KwaZulu Natal of South Africa.
