Haiti Minister confirms she will fly the Haitian flag this coming October during the Creole Festival in Victoria, the Creole Capital of the World in Seychelles (Forimmediaterelease.net) Stephanie Balmir-Villedrouin, the Minister responsible for Tourism in Haiti, has confirmed that she will be heading to Victoria, the Creole Capital of the World in the Seychelles, for the island's 30th anniversary of its Festival Kreol this coming October.

Minister Stephanie Balmir-Villedrouin of Haiti confirmed Haiti's participation in the 2015 Festival Kreol when she met with Minister Alain St.Ange, the Seychelles Minister responsible for Tourism and Culture, when they were both in Medellin in Colombia for the 21st General Assembly of the UNWTO.

Haiti like Seychelles use Creole in schools as a language and are always eager to showcase their culture. Minister Stephanie Balmir-Villedrouin is assessing the composition of her delegation and will be communicating in the coming week the information to ensure that Haiti's participation is included in the 30th anniversary program of Festival Kreol 2015.

La Reunion, Mauritius, and Rodrigues are also expected, as is the case annually, to be present for this year’s Creole Extravaganza and stand side by side with Seychelles in Victoria, the Creole Capital of the World.

Minister Alain St.Ange, the Seychelles Minister responsible for Tourism and Culture, has confirmed that the Department of Culture of the Seychelles under the leadership of PS Benjamine Rose is working on a hard-cover and full-color souvenir book that will mark the 30 years since this Creole manifestation was positioned on the calendar of events in an international stage. The Minister said that he was thankful to all who forwarded photos and documentation to make the book as complete as possible. “In particular we say a big thank you to Georges Michel, the journalist and photographer from Mauritius, who has covered nearly every single edition of the Festival Kreol. He supplied to our Department of Culture an amazing collection of photos," Minister St.Ange said.
