Ethiopian announces increase frequency to the Seychelles as Tourism Minister St.Ange boards their flight for a joint working visit to Israel (Forimmediaterelease.net) Ethiopian Airlines, the largest airline in Africa, is pleased to announce that effective September 16, 2015, it will increase its services to the Seychelles to 4 flights per week. Ethiopian Airlines said, as Alain St.Ange, the Seychelles Minister responsible for Tourism and Culture, was boarding their flight to Addis Ababa for a joint working visit to Israel, that they are adding the frequency to better serve their passengers to/from the Seychelles.

With the addition of the fourth frequency, Ethiopian Airlines will now offer more convenient options so as to better serve the needs of business travelers and tourists.

Seychelles joined the Ethiopian network back on April 1, 2012 with a direct flight from Addis Ababa. The airline from mainland Africa provided more options for passengers flying from various parts of the world to the Seychelles and from Seychelles to cosmopolitan cities of living museums of natural history and cultural diversities.

“As a pan-African airline, we have always been committed to bring the African continent closer to the rest of the world and to one of the world’s favorite tourist spot, Seychelles, the world leader in sustainable eco-tourism which attracts a number of visitors every year. We look forward to further increase operation to a daily basis with the help of the Seychelles Transport Minister and Civil Aviation Authorities,” said Meseret Tekalign, the Ethiopian Manager based in Seychelles.

Alain St.Ange, the Seychelles Minister responsible for Tourism and Culture, said that the tourism industry welcomed the announcement and also determination of Ethiopian Airline to work with the Tourism Board of the islands to develop new niche markets. The Minister is being accompanied on this working visit by Rosemarie Hoareau, the Director of Marketing at the Seychelles Tourism Board; Alan Mason of Mason's Travel; Guillaume Albert of Creole Travel; and Daniella Payet who is representing a group of small homegrown hotels from Mahe, Praslin, La Digue, and Cerf Islands.
