Winners of the “Miss Seychelles…another world” 2015 receive their prizes

Winners of the “Miss Seychelles…another world” 2015 receive their prizes ( Winners of this year’s “Miss Seychelles…another world” beauty pageant have received their prizes in a short ceremony held at the Espace building.

During the pageant which was held on May 30 at Constance Ephelia Resort, Linne Freminot was crowned as Seychelles’ new beauty queen.

Present for the prize-giving ceremony were the Principal Secretary for Tourism, Anne Lafortune, staff of the Seychelles Tourism Board, organisers. and sponsors.

Other girls who took part in the pageant were also present at the event.

Among her prizes as the newly-crowned Miss Seychelles…another world 2015, Linne Freminot has received a return ticket to France; a brand new iPhone 6+ from Airtel; an iPad Air; a one-year 2GB package from Cable&Wireless; hotel stays sponsored by Dhevatara Beach Hotel&Spa, Desroches Island Resort, and Kempinski Seychelles Resort; and diving courses from Big Blue Divers.

Miss Freminot has also received a one-year fitness program with a personal trainer sponsored by Tropical Heat Fitness gym, a balanced nutrition and training program from XTrim Fitness&Wellness Centre, two jewelry sets from SeyBras, beauty and hair products from My Hair Affection Seychelles, a facial treatment from La Jeunesse Nail&Beauty salon, and jewelry sets and three evening dresses from Trendy’s Boutique among many others.

She also won the best effort for the beauty with a purpose project. As prizes, she received return tickets to South Africa sponsored by Air Seychelles, a diving program from Big Blue Divers, three months’ free membership from Tropical Heat Fitness gym, and a basket of flowers from Flora the florist.

Linne will also be representing Seychelles at the Miss World beauty pageant which will be held in China later this year, as well as at national events and international trade fairs.

Prizes for the first princess, Petra Richard, who was on an overseas sports training camp, were collected by her father.

She also won the best evening gown title on pageant night. Among her prizes for both titles, Miss Richard received return tickets to Abu Dhabi and Mauritius from Air Seychelles, hotel stays, a brand new 4G Nokia Lumia 735 phone from Airtel, fitness and diving programs, cosmetics, and hair products, among other prizes.

The second princess, Genevieve Rene, who is also Miss Talent, won return tickets to South Africa sponsored by Air Seychelles, a 4G Nokia Lumia from Airtel, two nights’ stay at Le Meridien Fisherman’s Cove, diving courses from Big Blue Divers, fitness programs from Tropical Heat Fitness gym and XTrim Fitness&Wellness Centre, flowers, cosmetic and hair products from various sponsors, and a gift voucher from Jewels.

Other winners who received prizes were Alanah Barallon (Miss Personality), Steffanie Underwood (Miss Sports), and Stasia Lafortune (People’s Choice Award). Absent for the event was Miss Photogenic, Angie Arnephy.

Each contestant of the Miss Seychelles…another world 2015 pageant has received a free Airtel starter pack with 1 GB of data, cosmetic products from the Seychelles Trading Company and Black Up as well from My Hair Affection Seychelles, jewelry sets from SeyBras, bouquets of flowers from Flora the Florist and Your Desire flower shop, a hamper from East Indies, and a three-month membership from XTrim Fitness&Wellness Centre.

They have also received a CD of their photo shoot from the Seychelles Tourism Board, a t-shirt from My Hair Affection, one discount card from KIKI de mer, and a CD from Algerian group Babylone.

Speaking at the event, Mrs. Lafortune congratulated the girls for having the courage to take part in this contest and for not giving up.

“I hope that the intense training you have followed during the past three months will help you to face the future with new confidence. You are now armed with new skills and knowledge which I hope you will put into good use,” she said.

Mrs. Lafortune told the girls that pageants are now focusing on the beauty with a purpose concept, adding that they too should follow this idea.

She also thanked all the sponsors who have extended their support to this beauty pageant.

Miss Linne Freminot echoed words of thanks to all those who have helped her during her three-month journey and who are supporting her during her reign, including her family, sponsors, and the Seychelles Tourism Board.
