Madrid, May 18th, 2007
Starting on June 1st, Iberia will raise from seven to ten the number of flights it operates each week to Central America, adding a daily flight to Costa Rica and three weekly frequencies to Guatemala and Panama.

In this way the Spanish airline will meet demand for travel to these destinations from Germany, which in 2006 climbed 12.4% overall, and by 40% in Iberia’s luxurious new Business Plus seating class.

The flights to Central America from Iberia’s new Madrid Terminal 4 hub are all direct, and are timed to ensure easy convenient connections for passengers flying to or from Germany.

From Terminal 4 Iberia operates 13 flights each day to and from Frankfurt, Munich, Berlin and Dusseldorf. From Madrid Iberia flies to 17 Latin American cities and 4 destinations in the United States, to 10 cities in Africa and the Middle East, and to 35 in Spain.

Airbus 340s in 300 and 600 versions are used to all Latin America destinations, and they are equipped with the Business Plus seating class, featuring ergonomic seats that unfold into flat beds, an unusual variety of entertainment and communications options available on individual touch screens, gourmet Mediterranean cuisine meals planned by master chef Sergi Arola, and a wine list featuring a careful selection of the most exquisite Spanish vintages.
