Business trips with butterfly feeling in Schleswig-Holstein

(Forimmediaterelease.net) Schleswig-Holstein’s cities make travellers feel like wanting to participate in a meeting.
Schleswig-Holstein’s cities are perfect for meetings and irresistible partners for exciting incentive trips. Courageous and charming, full of secrets and athletic, sexy and simply loveable – these are the characteristics of fourteen offers presented by the members of the Association „Marketing Cooperation of cities in Schleswig-Holstein e.V. (MakS). The new campaign of the cities in Germany’s northernmost Federal Land “It was love at first sight“
focuses on business tourism and presents creative incentive offers which are rich in detail and take up special characteristics. This is how a wide range of unique ideas highlighting that certain moving and touching moment was put together for deciders in the meeting and congress business. Quite typical of MakS.

„We wish to offer a central marketing platform for business trips in Schleswig-Holstein and to distinguish ourselves from our competitors by developing innovative products with strong emotional components“, says Michael Zeinert the Chairman of MakS. “Annually business tourism grows by double digits and is thus one of the most important future markets“ MakS took a successful start with the 2008 campaign’s creative concept being one of the winners of
the GCB’s coveted „Wild Cards“ for IMEX, the world’s most important Exhibition for Incentive Travel&Meetings&Event, held in Frankfurt from April 22nd - 24th 2008.

When people fall in love it is naturally also the character they fall in love with - the partner’s mystery, his sensuality, his charm or his humour. This is what lies at the core of the new MakS campaign. Each of the fourteen member cities offers incentive tours concentrating on one special character trait following the motto „It was love at first sight“. These offers which were
drafted with much love of the small details are meant to excite business travellers, raise their interest in Schleswig-Holstein’s cities and convince them of the outstanding quality of their MICE-locations.

Husum “creatively” invites to participate in a musical team building event including an orchestra rehearsal and a gala concert at the count’s estate. Bad Segeberg offers business travellers a “stunning” training in martial arts skills. „Full of secrets” is Kiel’s offer addressing
lovers of the German Tatort” TV-crime series who wish to help conduct criminal investigations. “Passionate” is the feeling of those who take part in the sparkling fireworks-workshop in Lübeck.

All incentive offers are portrayed on the website www.sh-ideenreich.de. The site also gives basic information for business travellers and all information relating to MICE venues and their technical features, accommodation and unusual event locations, ideas for side programmes and modules. The website also has a search and booking tool for all types of venues, be it the centrally located congress centre or the idyllic seminar hotel.

The Association „Marketing Cooperation of cities in Schleswig-Holstein e.V. (MakS) is the official representative of cities in terms of tourism marketing. Each year MakS develops a strong marketing campaign which is unique in Germany’s tourism industry. The Association received the German Tourism Award twice for its two campaigns „Nightlife for kids“ (at www.sh-elternfrei.de ) and „Pass it on: The world’s at home in Northern Germany“ (at www.shgeheimnis.de ).
