Aftermath of Apocalyptic Drought Focus of New Feature Length Film

(Forimmediaterelease.net) Chuck Griffith, prominent director, has announced his new film project, No Woman’s Face Remember. The short film is an exciting story about the fallout that occurs after the looming apocalyptic California drought. Principal photography on Black Magic Cinema 4K has been done and now it is time to move forward. However, the film needs funding to make this possible. Griffith has turned to the Kickstarter community to raise $7,500 by May 8th, 2015.

No Woman’s Face Remember is a unique, inverse take on Shakespeare’s The Tempest. It uses the classic storyline as a backbone to the film and a guiding light that coincides with various themes found in the play. The story begins with Chloe, a 22-year-old woman who is seeking to get out of her deserted Central California town. After the horrible economic collapse following the drought, Chloe has been struggling to figure out who she is. She gains support from two friends, one of which is her high school sweetheart, Budd.

Audiences will be taken on an incredible journey where one woman learns to grow and adapt to the new economic changes. There are many heartfelt and thought-provoking themes explored in the film that are applicable to today’s society. The film sheds light on what could happen when the drought finally comes, and how it will touch all aspects of our lives. Water is crucial to the livelihood of a community and many deserted areas in California would be greatly impacted. With the help of other filmmakers like Producer Lou Peterson, Griffith hopes to bring this proof-of-concept for a feature film version in the future.

The team is ready for post-production. Funding raised from the campaign will bring forth high quality level of cinematic detail for the film to be taken as a serious production. Once the film is finished, there are plans to release it to “Tier 1” festivals like Toronto, Sundance, Cannes, Berlin, and many others around the world. Assistance received past the goal will be used to hire an experienced post-production supervisor to manage all the logistics and keep the film in line with deadlines and budgets.

To make a contribution, please visit the Kickstarter campaign or click here. Backers can choose from many attractive rewards as a “thank you” for the support.

This is an “all-or-nothing” deal, which means if the campaign does not reach the fund goal then the project will not receive the help it needs to move forward. So know that a donation of any amount counts! Please share this with others on Facebook, Twitter, and other social networks. Let the world know how they can help make this short film a reality.
