“Life on Mars” – Captivating Film Produced by Two Graduates at UM
David Mars is a neurotic screenwriter whose sanity is in question as he lives with his cougar mother. It has been years since Mars has written anything worth producing. Audiences will witness various themes that are relatable in the world today such as passion, humility, and much more. People will fall in love with David Mars and experience his heartfelt story of wanting to become successful.
In order to deal with his neuroticism, Mars’ therapists suggests he write an episodic diary. This is perceived as television content reflecting his every day life called, “Life on Mars.” After years of pitching screenplays, an up-and-coming agent stumbles upon his “diary” and loves it. Now his time has finally come, but he must reveal his private and humiliating shortcomings in his life to the world in the form of an heartfelt TV show.
Alexa Prosneiwski, also a graduating senior at the University of Miami, will produce the pilot, while along side Robert Combs, the production manager for the project. Both Jake and Andie have previous experience working on pieces of work on HBO for different screenplays such as “The Things They Left Behind” and the series “Ballers.”
