Brazil’s Momo King carnival group arrives in Seychelles for this weekend's Carnaval International de Victoria

Brazil’s Momo King carnival group arrives in Seychelles for this weekend's Carnaval International de Victoria (Forimmediaterelease.net) In 2014, Brazil’s Sao Paolo Samba School stood for a second year running on the podium as one of the best international floats.

Leader in the world of carnivals, Sao Paolo’s 20-member delegation is this year giving Seychelles a special treat showcasing in the carnival parade the Brazilian version of Momo King.

Dubbed Momo King Group, the presence of the Brazilian delegation in Seychelles as it landed at the Seychelles International Airport in the morning of Tuesday, April 21, brought with it an explosion of excitement.

The familiar faces of Daniel Okamoto, Executive Director of one of the most known Samba schools, and Juliano Barbosa were once again in Seychelles to lead the delegation.

Juliano said the Brazilian group is “very excited to be in Seychelles” to join in the celebrations for this fifth anniversary of the Seychelles carnival.

Alain St.Ange, the Seychelles Minister for Tourism and Culture; Principal Secretary for Tourism Anne Lafortune; and the Principal Secretary of Culture, Benjamine Rose; and Sherin Naiken, the Chief Executive of the Seychelles Tourism Board, were at the airport to welcome the carnival delegations and did not miss the opportunity to express their heartfelt greetings, embracing for the third year running, the presence of the Brazilian delegation in the Seychelles carnival.

Brazil is in Seychelles to take the lead in the Carnaval International de Victoria parade. The delegation has fine-tuned its theme and is coming out with a much more electrified version of Brazil's carnival parade.

Mastering the art of the carnival parade, Brazil’s aim is to once again keep its imprint on the Carnaval International de Victoria and show the Seychellois public what and how it is done in Brazil during their own carnival.
