Village du Pecheur hotel hosts Miss Seychelles contestants for a weekend ( The 14 “Miss Seychelles…another world” 2015 contestants had a weekend of a lifetime at the Village du Pêcheur hotel on Praslin island.

Located on the famous Cote d’Or, the hotel owned by local businesswoman Mary Geers and husband was where the 14 young ladies spent the weekend of March 6-8.

A sumptuous buffet was prepared for all to enjoy in a perfect dinner setting on the Cote d’Or beach on their first night at the hotel.

Also there to meet the contestants was Minister for Health Mitcy Larue, who shared words of encouragement with them.

Famous Moutia group on Praslin, the Latanier group, spiced up the night with their pulsating voices and rhythmic Creole tunes.

Dressed in colorful traditional outfits, the 14 contestants danced the night away around the bonfire.

On their last day at the hotel, the hosts organized a Creole lunch whereby the young ladies and the team who accompanied them had the chance to savor mouth-watering dishes such as the grilled fish and the octopus curry.

On behalf of the Seychelles Tourism Board, the Events and Conferencing Manager, Beryl Matatiken, echoed words of thanks to Mr. and Mrs. Geers as well as the staff of Village du Pecheur for hosting the contestants and the team and for making their stay on Praslin a memorable one.

Linne Freminot also had words of thanks for the hosts on behalf of all the other contestants, while Mrs. Geers said it was a pleasure to have been on board to help make the girls’ journey a success and a pleasant one.
