The medieval village of Eze on the French Riviera has always been a magical place for many travelers visiting the Côte d`Azur. With its deep blue ocean, wonderful sandy beaches, romantic bays and the beauty of the surrounding villages, hopeless romantics will fall in love with this place. The philosopher Friedrich Nietzsche found inspiration here for the most celebrated pages of his book “Thus Spoke Zarathustra”. Another gentleman that sought refuge here was Prince William of Sweden. During a boat trip, most likely with his father, William first visited the historical village. Three years later, he bought the little castle and baptized it as “Château Eza”. However, up until 1976 it was known as “The Prince of Sweden´s Castle”. Already possessing a love for France, he was taken by the spirit and tranquility of the Chateau and left his royal court to pursue his writing talents here, until he decided to leave his “home” in 1953.

Majestic walls, which surround the castle, retain a serenity and natural tranquility that are transferred into all rooms and suites. The natural conditions of the castle were integrated into the interior design to preserve the historical flair with its wood paneling and rustic feel – all in five star standards of course. A Jacuzzi in the bathroom, open fireplaces in living rooms, luxurious beds in bedrooms, stunning views from balconies and terraces and state-of-the-art technologies complete the comfort. Furthermore Château Eza offers a family family-friendly Junior Suite on two levels. On the ground level there is a cozy living room with a fireplace and one convertible sofa for two kids as well as a shower room. On the upper floor there is a magnificent bathroom, a master bedroom with incredible sea views and a sitting area.

Château Eza is situated on Moyenne Corniche between Nice and Monaco. Guests do not only enjoy a fantastic panorama view over the Côte d´Azur from all rooms and suites, but also from the gourmet restaurant with its spacious terrace. Here, the German Michelin-Starred chef Axel Wagner serves a fine variation of the Mediterranean and French cuisine.
