The Seychelles episode will be on at 19:00 on BBC2.

The new series – of eight episodes – are about British couples and families considering a permanent move to somewhere hot. They put a new life to the test for a trial week. They have to consider potential new jobs, homes, friends, and schools, and eventually made the big decision of whether to leave everything they have back home to move to a country very different from the UK.

The Seychelles episode is the second to be broadcast in that series, with Cayman opening the series.

After years in the navy and traveling the world with work, Ian Burkinshaw wants to move to a sunny location permanently, but his wife Emma is not so keen. She has never really left her Yorkshire home and loves the village life they currently have, close to both their families and friends. It is to be seen if a week of putting a new life to the test in the Seychelles will persuade her to abandon all that for a move to paradise.

Other countries featured in the “Wanted in Paradise” series are Barbados, Phuket, Costa, Tortola, Mauritius, and Khanom.
