New website will promote the idea of three Ts: Truth, Tolerance and Togetherness
Lizzy Leaks will focus on freedom, awareness and protection from authoritarian incompetence. The site will also be touting worldwide legalization of medical marijuana.
Olesya Romashat, an Austrian “Jokerman,” has a very serious project planned for 2015.
She’s calling it Lizzy Leaks – The Truth You Might Not Like. It’s a new website that promotes truth, acceptance, tolerance and togetherness.
“The main objective of the project is to save the world,” explains Romashat. “But this is obviously very abstract so I’m boiling it down to four goals: 1: express yourself freely, 2: be aware, 3: protect yourself from the incompetence of authorities, and 4: legalize medical cannabis worldwide.”
Romashat plans to post revealing news stories from trustful web sources that people may not see in the mainstream media as well as songs and themes of three Ts (truth, tolerance and togetherness). There will also be a section where viewers can air their gripes and complaints.
“I want people to express themselves and ‘be who they are’ because we are all beautiful as we are, in case if we have beautiful, awaked mind” she says. “Gay, lesbian, bisexual, just be yourself and express yourself more freely. Same-sex marriages to be legalized all around the world.”
The expanded news section will serve to heighten awareness about issues that deserve more attention. “Know more, be more,” Romashat says. “All news on the page will be the truth, taken from direct Internet sources, such as Twitter and Wikileaks. There are no interpretations and no gossip, just truth.”
Lizzy Leaks serve also as an online space for the public to air their grievances. “Are you facing problems with bureaucracy or/and bribery?” asks Romashat. “Report it to Lizzy Leaks and let the world know the truth.”
All posts will be verified before they are posted.
In addition, Lizzy Leaks will be promoting the benefits of medical marijuana. “The advantages of medical marijuana are so obvious,” says Romashat. “We live in a society where big medical companies still make a great deal of money with antidepressants, drugs that often do not help and make people even weaker. There are virtually no side effects with marijuana.”
Romashat needs 20,000 Euros (about $24,000 US) to build, promote and manage the new website. In order to generate this start-up capital, she has launched an Indiegogo campaign, which can be viewed at www.indiegogo.com/projects/lizzy-leaks-the-truth-you-might-not-like
Donations of any amount are appreciated and welcome. “Just think of it as an investment in the future of the world,” says Romashat. “People need freedom and the truth, and need a place where they can be heard. I see myself as a kind of Lenny Bruce or Howard Stern, someone who’s not afraid of telling it like it is. Or maybe Bob Dylan's “Jokerman” who tells the truth wearing a joker-mask.”
She cites a quote from Apple’s 1997 “Think Different” commercial as a source of inspiration: “The people who are crazy enough to think they can change the world are the ones who can do it.”
