Condor and Seychelles authorities meet at WTM to discuss a second flight to the islands

Condor and Seychelles authorities meet at WTM to discuss a second flight to the islands ( Jens Boyd and Herwig Oberhuber of Condor and a Seychelles delegation headed by Minister Alain St.Ange, the Seychelles Minister responsible for Tourism and Culture, met at WTM (World Travel Market) in London on the first day of the tourism fair.

Present at the airline meeting alongside Minister St.Ange were Captain David Savy, the Chairman of the Seychelles Civil Aviation Authority and a Board Member of the Seychelles Tourism Board; Sherin Naiken, the CEO of the Seychelles Tourism Board; and Bernadette Willemin, the Director for Europe for the Seychelles Tourism Board.

The discussions were a follow up to an earlier meeting that was held in Seychelles between Condor management and Seychellois authorities.

The meeting was in response to a call by Seychelles for Condor to study the possibility to introduce a second weekly non-stop direct flight linking Germany and Seychelles.

“Today's meeting was positive. We listened to the Condor management. We discussed the challenges and together analyzed possibilities," said Minister St.Ange after the meeting.

“Mr. Boyd and Mr. Oberhuber of Condor will now further discuss the route at their Frankfurt Head Office, and we believe that in the coming weeks a final decision will be made on a second non-stop direct flight by Condor linking Germany and Seychelles.”
