Curtains drawn during a Special Bazaar Labrin on 2014’s Tourism Week in Seychelles ( After a week-long of activities, the curtains were drawn on the 2014 Tourism Week during a special Bazaar Labrin held in Beau Vallon which is one of Seychelles’ most popular beachside district among tourists.

The Special Bazaar Labrin was organised the Seychelles Tourism Board and the Beau Vallon district administration.

Tourists and locals alike were enjoying not only the Creole tunes from the Dj but the many Creole delicacies in the various stalls, from grilled fish, meat and fish kebabs, and locally made fruit juices.
Present at the closing ceremony were chief executive of the Seychelles Tourism Board Sherin Naiken, deputy chief executive Nathalie Didon and Miss Seychelles…Another World 2014 Camila Estico.
Speaking at the closing of Tourism Week the Seychelles Minister for Tourism and Culture Alain St.Ange said the week has been a time of enjoyment and reflection on the way forward for our tourism industry.
Minister St.Ange said Bazar Labrin remains the ideal place to close Tourism Week which was held from September 27 to October 1 under the theme - Tourism: Our communities’ greatest wealth.
He added that Bazaar Labrin is the place where tourists can interact with locals and understand the Seychelles culture, through music, moutia and Creole dishes.

“It is important for me today to thank all vendors of Bazaar Labrin who continue to put the Creole culture to the forefront every week,” the Minister said.

“I assure you all that we have heard your call for public facilities, and with the latest planned developments happening here at Beau Vallon, there will be public toilets here at Beau Vallon soon.”
Minister St.Ange thanked Miss Naiken and the tourism board’s staff for making the 2014 Tourism Week a success and for the work they are doing for our tourism industry.
