Seychelles promotes high romance appeal at Dublin Wedding and Honeymoon show

Seychelles promotes high romance appeal at Dublin Wedding and Honeymoon show ( Seychelles continues to appeal to the romance audience, and the Irish visitors highly consider the destination to be one of the top romantic getaways on this planet.

The Seychelles Tourism Board’s participation every year at the Wedding and Honeymoon Show in Dublin is always a success with visitors gathering as much as information as they can on the destination. They want to know what the destination has to offer for couples and honeymooners, and they also seek information on packages.

The Seychelles Tourist Office for UK and Ireland was once again present at the show which took place on Saturday, September 6, and Sunday, September 7, and was participating in conjunction with tour operator partner, Classic Resorts.

Speaking about another successful show, the manager for the UK/Ireland Tourist Office, Tinaz Wadia, said that there is a continuous growth of visitors from Ireland to Seychelles and many of them are romance clients.

“Seychelles continues to remain a popular honeymoon destination for couples in Ireland. With double daily flights now launched by Etihad from Dublin on July 15, 2014 and Emirates on September 1, 2014, we anticipate an increase in honeymooners from Ireland especially as these air access can facilitate combinations between the destinations in the Middle East and the Seychelles,” she said.

She added that visitor arrivals from Ireland has increased slowly but consistently year to year despite the country’s own economic challenges.

“We currently have a 14% increase in visitors from Ireland over the same period last year, which is very encouraging especially as we know that we are highly regarded as one of the most romantic destinations in the world,” Ms. Wadia said.

The Wedding and Honeymoon event is Ireland’s largest and longest established Autumn Wedding Show, attracting over 200 exhibitors and catering for all aspects of planning a wedding and selecting a honeymoon destination. These range from menus, flowers, cakes, video, limousines, honeymoon travel agents, etc. In a few hours, a couple can book their entire wedding and honeymoon, having met face to face with professional service providers who will cater for their special day and romantic honeymoon destinations.

The main hall at the show is transformed into a wedding showcase allowing visitors to shop around in comfort, while enjoying fully professional catwalk shows on the ground floor and wedding fashions for mums and wedding guests on the Irish Wedding Diary Fashion Style Stage on the mezzanine Level.

Ms. Wadia was assisted by the Marketing Executive in the Seychelles Tourist Office for UK and Ireland, and Eloise Vidot, in promoting the islands at the show.
