They seek for tranquility and the ideal soothing environment for relaxation," the management of the new Takamaka Villa said as the island's Minister responsible for Tourism and Culture arrived at their doorstep last weekend.

The southern part of Seychelless' main island of Mahe offers that ideal soothing environment for relaxation, in particular the quiet surroundings of the Takamaka district.

Located in the same district is Takamaka Villa, an upcoming establishment of simplicity and elegance, with a mix of modern and a traditional touch to it. Set in a beautiful surrounding, Takamaka Villa is great for a private family holiday.

Owned by the Zaccari family, Takamaka Villa is set to open soon. It is made up of four double rooms on the ground floor and one family suite on the first floor.

All rooms are inter-connected and are equipped with air conditioning, a fan, Internet access, and a television.

The villa, which is located within walking distance to the beach, is operated on a bed and breakfast basis and is self-catering.

The Minister for Tourism and Culture, Alain St.Ange, visited this establishment last week and held discussions with the renowned 90-year-old journalist, Alfonso Zaccari.

Minister St.Ange was then given a tour of the villa and saw the final work being done on the first floor, after which he commended the owner and his team for a adding a Creole touch to the villa and for taking this new step in the tourism industry.

The family will soon venture into other facilities which includes an a la carte restaurant specializing in international cuisine, especially Italian cuisine.

Takamaka Villa is expected to officially open towards the end of September. “Seychellois joining in and Seychellois playing an active role in the tourism industry of Seychelles is the only way to safeguard this vital industry that is today known as the pillar of the Seychelles economy," Minister St.Ange said as he congratulated the 90-year-old hotel owner for his continued support for Seychelles tourism.
