Clear® To Operate at Dulles and Reagan; Lanes Coming Within Weeks

Clear® To Operate at Dulles and Reagan; Lanes Coming Within Weeks ( Clear®, the fast pass for airport security, announced today that it has been chosen in a competitive bidding process to operate Clear lanes at both Dulles International and Reagan National Airports. The decision to award the contract to Clear was announced during a Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority (MWAA) Board meeting today. All airlines operating from the airports, and their passengers, will be able to use Clear’s fast pass lanes within weeks. Clear enrollment stations are already operating at the American Express Travel Office at 15th and K Streets and in the Congressional Federal Credit Union in the Longworth House Office Building, and additional stations will be installed by early February at the Airports and at area hotels.

“We’re thrilled to add Reagan and Dulles to the list of airports participating in the program,” said Steven Brill, Clear’s CEO. “It is exciting finally to be able to include the nation’s capital within the Clear network. We’ll begin implementation of the program quickly and we’re confident that, given the location and passenger volume, it will become one of our largest and most visible operations.”

Already, Clear has signed up over 2,000 DC-area residents (90,000 nationwide) at Those customers, and other DC applicants, will soon receive the time-saving, convenient benefits of their Clear card at their home airport.

Clear member Ellyn Ambrose, CEO of The Marketing Group of Washington, DC said, “Travel gets more difficult with every trip. Having a Clear Card relieves a major layer of anxiety and is worth every cent. I’m looking forward to the program’s arrival at the DC Airports."

Washington, DC Clear member John Harrington, a freelance photographer, said, “Flying Clear has been such a timesaver when returning to DC from cities with Clear lanes. I recently returned from an assignment in San Francisco, and even with my being originally from the bay area, my on site contact thought I was cutting my arrival time at the airport too close. What they didn't know was that my secret solution was my Clear card. Without a rush, luggage or line to worry about, I made it from curbside to my gate in less than 10 minutes, having already checked in from home, and enjoyed a casual read of the paper in the waiting area - such a relief!" He added, “I heard from a Clear agent in an inbound city that Clear was hiring in the DC area, and was excited that I would be able to increase both my own use of the Clear lanes on outbound travel, but also, to travel with family, as both my wife and I went through the easy Clear process together."

About Clear – Clear, operated by Verified Identity Pass, Inc., has signed up over 90,000 travelers nationwide. Clear cards are accepted at 13 U.S. airports (Albany, Cincinnati, Indianapolis, Jacksonville, LaGuardia, Little Rock, New York JFK, Newark, Orlando, Reno, San Francisco, San José, and Westchester).
