Professional Musicians gather to help the next generation
They will be giving a MasterClass to BCME students giving real-life insights about thriving in the Music Business. Then afterwards they are going to perform at Curve Theatre Leicester.
The British Centre for Music and Enterprise (BCME) in the Cultural Quarter of Leicester is a new centre of excellence aiming to help students build careers in the music industry. All students on the new Music Business course will be given a thorough grounding in all aspects of providing a commercial performance; from lighting rigs to sound balancing from promoting a gig to making money from one. They will be taught by professionals in the industry and practice in world-class facilities such as Curve Theatre itself. Students from Leicester, the rest of the UK and Ghana will finish this first course by Christmas and also have earned a Certificate in Business Management. Degree courses as well as short courses will be offered.
