Suitcases, coats, passports: Your belongings are in good hands with Frankfurt Airport’s baggage storage service
Several locations are availabe throughout Terminals 1 and 2. The next baggage storage office isn’t far away and the storage fees are very reasonable. On the departures and arrivals levels of Terminal 1, for example, friendly staff are ready to take care of your bags or other items. About 3,000 suitcases and bags are temporarily stored at the Baggage Storage offices each month.
The document deposit service is also very practical. Visa service providers and companies often take advantage of FRA’s document service for their staff traveling abroad. Passengers can then conveniently stop by before departing and pick up their documents by showing valid identification. The document service is available at the baggage storage office on the arrivals level of Terminal 1, which is open around the clock.
The shrink-wrapping service is greatly appreciated by backpackers in particular. Shrink-wrapping backpacks eliminates the risk of buckles and straps getting caught and tearing during loading or unloading operations and while in transit. Wrapping your items also prevents anyone from removing or inserting objects into your baggage during transfers in other countries. Experienced globetrotters therefore like play it safe, by getting their backpacks shrink-wrapped. Suitcases that are stretched to the seams and full with items to take home can also be given that extra seal of protection. At Frankfurt Airport, shrink-wrapping only takes a few minutes and costs just €8.50 per item.

The Baggage Storage service is part of Frankfurt Airport’s “Great to Have You Here!” service quality program. Fraport AG, the airport manager, launched this program to introduce a wide range of service enhancements, making FRA more convenient and attractive for passengers and visitors at Germany’s largest aviation hub. By the way, more than 58 million passengers used Frankfurt Airport in 2013.
