The natural beauty of Seychelles at the United Nations (UN)

The natural beauty of Seychelles at the United Nations (UN) ( A stunning photograph of the Seychelles has graced the collection of the Small Island Developing States (SIDS) collection of pictures gracing the hall at the United Nations (UN) during this year declared the International Year of Small Island Developing States 2014.

Ambassador Marie-Louise Potter, of the Seychelles Permanent Mission at the United Nations (UN), discussed the exhibition of Small island Developing States photographs with the Seychelles Minister responsible for Tourism and Culture when he was in New York and at the UN last week for a SIDS Conference.

“Ambassador Potter is working hard to increase the visibility of the Seychelles at the UN. She was sensitive to the idea that Seychelles must not only be represented at the UN, but that it needed to be seen as and when opportunity arises. The photograph exhibition for SIDS gave the Seychelles the opportunity to be noticed and counted as a tourism destination with extraordinary beauty. Ambassador Potter has now appealed to Seychelles to ensure that we have our unique Coco de Mer nut offered to the United Nations so that it can grace the corridors of the house where the world meets and also for it to be seen alongside the many iconic memorabilia offered by so many countries of the world," Minister St.Ange said.
