Tourism Ministers from Africa pose for a souvenir shot with the AU (African Union) Commissioner after the Inaugural Ministerial Session in South Africa (Forimmediaterelease.net) Tourism Ministers from Africa who traveled to Durban, South Africa, for the inaugural Ministerial Session and also to lead their delegation to the 2014 edition of Indaba, the Tourism Trade Fair of Africa, posed for a souvenir photo with Mrs. Dlamini Zuma, the AU (African Union) Commissioner, and Minister Marthinus Van Schalkwyk, the Minister of Tourism of South Africa.

The photo was taken immediately after the inaugural Ministerial Session that saw ministers of tourism from Africa discuss challenges they saw that continued to affect the consolidation of tourism in Africa.

This edition of the Indaba tourism trade fair was the first to see the whole of Africa invited to showcase their respective countries. Indaba had previously been the tourism trade fair for the SADC countries.

Alain St.Ange, the Seychelles Minister responsible for Tourism and Culture, participated in the inaugural Ministerial Session and personally led the Seychelles delegation to Indaba 2104. He said that Indaba remained the largest tourism trade fair in Africa and that it is working for Africa. “We all need to work with the Durban tourism trade fair and ensure that tour operators and press from the four corners of the world see the importance to be at Indaba, because this is the tourism trade fair where Africa comes together to showcase the diversity of the continent," Minister St.Ange of the Seychelles said during Indaba.
