Madagascar President receives Minister Alain St.Ange of the Seychelles and President Didier Robert of La Reunion at his Iavoloha Palace (Forimmediaterelease.net) President Hery Rajaonarimampianina of Madagascar this morning, May 15, welcomed Minister Alain St.Ange, the Seychelles Minister responsible for Tourism and Culture, and President Didier Robert, the President of the Regional Council of La Reunion, at his Iavoloha Palace in Antananarivo for a working session.

Minister Alain St.Ange, the outgoing President of the Indian Ocean Vanilla Islands, and President Didier Robert, the newly-elected President of the regional organization, were invited to brief the Madagascar President of the Vanilla Islands and on the Ministerial Meeting of the organization that had taken place in Madagascar itself.

The challenges faced by the Vanilla islands and by the region were discussed, and the President of Madagascar assured Minister St.Ange and President Didier Robert of his commitment to see the Vanilla Islands consolidated.

Air connectivity was discussed, as well as the Calendar of Events of the Vanilla Islands.

After the meeting, both Minister St.Ange of the Seychelles and President Didier Robert of La Reunion said that they found the meeting to have been friendly and very cordial. “We met in the most relaxed atmosphere. The President was open and very frank. The Vanilla islands has a good support in President Hery Rajaonarimampianina of Madagascar," Said Minister St.Ange of the Seychelles.
