Carnival time in Seychelles shown in all its glory on “7 Magazine”

Carnival time in Seychelles shown in all its glory on “7 Magazine” (Forimmediaterelease.net) “Explosion of color and an exposure of culture" are the words used by the press fraternity from all around the world to describe the 2014 edition of the Carnaval International de Victoria that is staged annually in the Seychelles.

It is definitely a treat to be in Victoria, the capital of the Seychelles, during carnival time, because this is the only such event where all the very best carnivals of the world come together and parade together followed by cultural troupes from the Community of Nations as the Minister of Tourism of the Seychelles likes to refer to this cultural extravaganza.

The battle of the giants on the one side with all the international delegations which this year again included the Notting Hill Carnival of the UK, the Brazil Carnival, the Dusseldorf Carnival of Germany, the Italy Carnival, the Carnival from Indonesia, and the Carnival from Trinidad&Tobago, were part of the 26 international delegations that had traveled to the paradise holiday destination of the Seychelles to be part of the annual carnival of these mid-ocean islands.

This last edition of the carnival that appears on the calendar of events of the Vanilla islands was jointly co-hosted by Seychelles, La Reunion, Madagascar, Mayotte, and South Africa KwaZulu Natal. This in itself showed the clear statement of countries coming together in the promotion of their destination to the world. Seychelles has been able to pull a wild card for the 2015 edition of their carnival because the UNWTO (United Nations World Tourism Organization) will be organizing their Commission for Africa (CAF) Ministerial Meeting in Seychelles at the same time as the carnival. “The Indian Ocean Islands and Africa will be at the center of that edition of the carnival," said Alain St.Ange, the Seychelles Minister responsible for Tourism and Culture, and the person who stands proudly behind this carnival.
