The Leu Tempo Festival portrays a different vision with popular performing arts. The organizers demonstrated a clear desire to show the island`s culture in all its forms through this event, offering a window to the island`s art in all its innovative quality and imaginative forms.

For five days, Saint-Leu on Reunion Island will vibrate to the tempo of this festival!

In the late 80s, Baguett and Chandra Pelle create the Tempo Festival which later became known as the Leu Tempo Festival. Initially, it was devoted to puppetry, and eventually became the rendezvous point in the month of May for many major performing arts events of the Indian Ocean. The festival has continued to enjoy its growing success and has become “the” event showcasing Reunion Island`s cultural landscape.
