African Union Tourism Ministers discover the Seychelles hospitality with a morning out on a fast cruiser and lunch on Cerf Island

African Union Tourism Ministers discover the Seychelles hospitality with a morning out on a fast cruiser and lunch on Cerf Island (Forimmediaterelease.net) The Tourism Ministers from South Africa and Gabon and the CEO of the Indian Ocean Vanilla Islands, accompanied by members of the press, were treated by Alain St.Ange, the Seychelles Minister responsible for Tourism and Culture, for a morning that showcased Seychellois hospitality with a difference.

The delegation boarded a fast motor cruiser belonging to Creole Travel Services, a local DMC, from their base at Angel Fish Marina and headed along the north of Mahe coast before stopping at Cap Ternay Bay where some of the delegation on board appreciated a swim in the turquoise blue waters for which the Seychelles are so well known.

Then it was off to Cerf Island at the Cerf Island Resort for a lunch by the beach. Foram Varsani moved her “dining room” on the beach itself, and the visiting delegation was overwhelmed by the spectacular setting and by the Creole lunch.

“We needed our colleagues to appreciate what the Seychelles is so known for, and this morning out gave them that opportunity to savor Creole cuisine from a small Seychellois-owned establishment and also a multi-million dollar setting. The Creole Travel Services fast cruiser ride enabled the ministers to see Seychelles from the sea and appreciate the effort by the country to protect our pristine environment," Minister St.Ange said.

The Ministry of Tourism and Culture and the Seychelles Tourism Board will continue to call on their private-sector partners to work with them when the country is hosting international delegations of tour operators, travel agents, press, and also ministerial delegations. “This is one way to gain visibility for the facilities we have, and we in turn ensure that adequate press coverage follows," said Minister St.Ange.
